1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address, name, and encrypted password. When you use our calculators, we process financial inputs (salary, age, contribution amounts) to generate results. We do not sell your personal data.

Automatically collected: Device type, browser, IP address, and usage analytics to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide personalized retirement calculations, compliance alerts, AI coaching, gamification features, and email communications you request. Financial calculations are processed in real-time and not stored unless you explicitly save a scenario.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. API communications use HTTPS/TLS. We use MongoDB Atlas with encryption at rest.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Gemini AI (for AI coach responses)
• Resend (for email delivery)
• Federal Reserve / BLS (for economic data)

These services have their own privacy policies. We do not share your personal financial data with advertisers.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data (available in Account Settings)
• Export your data
• Opt out of email communications

6. Account Deletion

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Account Settings. This will remove all your personal data, saved scenarios, game progress, and conversation history. This action is irreversible.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We use localStorage for authentication tokens and user preferences (theme, language). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.

8. Children's Privacy

This service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
